As of May 7 passengers will be able to use discounts granted by Riga City Council on most minibus routes

“Rīgas satiksme” informs that as of May 7 passengers will be able to use all the discounts granted by Riga City Council on minibus routes No. 203 Jugla - Pļavnieki, No. 204 Centre - Jugla, No. 206 Bus station - Mežciems, No. 209 Purvciems - Rumbula, No. 214 Centre - Dreiliņi, No. 224 Railway Terminal Square - Mangaļsala, No. 233 Centre - Ziepniekkalns, No. 237 Esplanade - Imanta, No. 241 Centre - Lidosta, No. 244 Central railway terminal - Iļģuciems, No. 246 Daugavgrīva - Pļavnieki, No. 246a Centre - Daugavgrīva, No.263 Mežciems – Šampēteris and No. 271 P.Stradiņš Hospital – “Gaiļezers” hospital.

“Rīgas satiksme” reminds that the following groups of passengers have the right to use Riga public transport free of charge according to Riga City Council’s resolution: school pupils, students of vocational schools, non-working pensioners, disabled persons of group 3, participants of the liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl NPP accident, persons above the age of 75, politically persecuted persons, orphaned children, persons living in social care centres, children of preschool age, passengers on festive days – 4^th of May, 23^th and 24^th of June, 18^th of November, 31^st of December, 1^st of January and during the traditional Riga City Festival (on Saturday and Sunday in August), policemen in uniform while fulfilling their official duties. Partial discounts are granted to the following groups of passengers: students, parents of large families with 3-5 children, working pensioners, teachers and technical staff of educational institutions, social care staff of the Riga City Council Welfare Department, medical staff and persons using Riga resident’s cards.

Based on passenger flow measurements, as of May 7 changes will be made in working day, Saturday, Sunday, and holiday schedules of minibus routes No. 200 and 224.
